  • 1. Task

    Identify what needs to be monitored. Ex: Check for vendors with liability insurance policies expiring in 30 days.

    2. Condition

    The criteria against which the database records are compared. Ex: The liability insurance policy expiration date for each vendor - that it is less than or equal to the current date plus 30.

    3. Schedule

    How often is the checking performed? Ex: On the 5th of each month at 5:00 a.m.

    4. Action

    The action that takes place if the condition is met. Ex: Email the vendor and request updated insurance information.

  • We use MyAssitant to monitor worker’s compensation and liability insurance expiration dates. Prior to the expiration date, we send an email automatically to each vendor. It saves an enormous amount of time on the phone or writing email to these vendors.

  • I have an alert that reminds me seven days before a particular contract is due to be billed. I notify the project managers of the same condition so that they can be sure to update the progress reports before billing.
